TAPA EMEA
The Leading Voice on Supply Chain Resilience & Security

Supply Chain Resilience

Founded the same year as ourselves back in 1997, the Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) is a not-for-profit organisation that today boasts a host of industry leading standards, training, incident intelligence, route planning and networking tools each designed to minimise risk and optimise loss prevention.

A growing global focus on the importance of supply chain resilience to national economies, businesses and consumers has helped to accelerate TAPA EMEA’s membership to its highest-ever level with the near 1,000 not only including leading manufacturing brands and logistics service providers but also law enforcement agencies, security service providers, parking place operators, associate partners and consultants.

TAPA's Mission Statement

TAPA EMEA aims to ensure the integrity and resilience of global supply chains, enabling sustainable supply chain risk management and loss prevention through the adoption of proven industry security standards, the gathering and sharing of threat and loss intelligence, training, networking, and collaboration with all stakeholders to ensure the secure movement and supply of goods for businesses and consumers.

TAPA's Latest Figures

The United Kingdom saw a 21.2% rise month-over-month in recorded incidents in April with 103 new incidents added to TAPA’s Intelligence System (TIS).

€834,000 worth of goods were reported stolen every day in April 2023 in the Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) region.

A further 57.1% of the 244 reported cargo thefts in that time did not state a value.

TAPA EMEA Annual Conference in Amsterdam (12th - 13th June 2024)

This is why we are incredibly proud to be recognised as one of only seven companies across the whole of the UK currently holding a Level 1 certificate in Trucking Security Requirements and the only one based in the West Midlands.

Our membership also gives us access to TAPA’s TIS risk management and loss prevention tool enhancing the security and resilience of our supply chain by providing insight into recorded cargo crimes as well as information on facilities, trucking operators and secure parking locations which meet the TAPA EMEA Security Standards.

Industry Leading Security

We have recently undertaken a new partnership with fellow TAPA EMEA members Maple Fleet Services, the leading authority on commercial vehicle security solutions, further demonstrates our commitment to creating a more resilient supply chain operation.

Our latest fleet additions are fitted with Maple’s robust, heavy-duty locking cylinders with each and every aspect of the design carefully engineered around logistics operations to deliver comprehensive load area protection and enhanced operational insight.

The TAPA Trucking Security Requirements (TSR) provide the only common global standard for goods in transit security. To gain certification of this demonstrates a real commitment to adopting best practice security protocols and having worked with JJX Logistics to raise the security of their vehicles and implement robust access control procedures, we can see it is an ethos that runs right throughout the business.
