On Sunday 7th April, several members of the fantastic team at JJX in partnership with our friends at Servosteel ran amongst the 18,000 participants completing the London Landmark Half Marathon raising funds for Black Country Mental Health. Runners Matt, Steve, Ed and managing director John trained for several months whenever they could, including together on lunch breaks in the temporarily formed "Unit 66 Running Club".
Having raised £1,260 in the 2023 edition, the team were looking to go a step further and smashed their £5K target raising a whopping £5,098.74 with massive thanks to so many people who have helped support our cause.
Helping over 5,000 people of all ages in the region every year, Black Country Mental Health are a volunteer run charity that have been very close to us for a long time and as one of our official charity partners, we are delighted to raise much needed funds for such a worthy cause. The fundraising doesn't stop there either with tour next big event already lined up as the team at JJX take to the hallowed turf at Molineux once again this year to take on the Wolves All Stars later this month.
As the official charity partner of JJX, we always try our hardest to get involved with this amazing charity at every opportunity we get whether that be from some of our larger annual fundraising events to helping with their one off appeals. It is an absolute honour to be able to support them so heavily and the positive impact we see their work bring to the region encourages us more and more.
Sandra and the fantastic volunteers at BCMH have supported me personally for many years so for us to be able to give back and make our difference for the charity and the community gives me so much pride.
