JJX Supports Mental Health Awareness Month with £2,800 Charity Fundraiser

08 May 2025 by Sophie Nock

Promoting positive mental health is no longer optional- it’s essential. In every workplace, and particularly in high-pressure industries like logistics, mental wellbeing must be treated with the same importance as physical safety and performance. Yet despite growing awareness, mental health challenges are still too often overlooked or misunderstood.

At JJX, we believe that recognising mental health isn’t a sign of weakness- it’s a mark of strength. It’s about creating space for people to speak openly, seek support, and know that they’re not alone. This Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re proud to not only raise awareness, but to continue building a culture where wellbeing is supported every day- not just in May.

As part of our recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, we were proud to take part in the London Landmarks Half Marathon in April, raising over £2,800 for Black Country Mental Health- a local charity delivering vital support services across the West Midlands. This marks our third year of partnership with the organisation, and every pound raised will help improve access to mental health resources for those who need it most.

But mental health support at JJX doesn’t begin or end with a single event. We’ve worked closely with Dudley Mind to provide Mental Health First Aid training for our staff, helping ensure that early signs of stress, anxiety or burnout are recognised and responded to appropriately. We’ve also created our own dedicated ‘Green Room’ in our Offices. A calm, quiet space designed to give employees time to reset, reflect, or simply take a breather when they need it.

As a business, we’re proud of the services we deliver and the standards we uphold- but we know that our people are the foundation of everything we do. Supporting them in their mental wellbeing is not just good practice- it’s the right thing to do.

This month, and every month, we’ll keep working to ensure that mental health is understood, supported, and talked about openly. Whether it's through charity partnerships, in-house training, or simply leading with compassion, we remain committed to putting people first.

Because when we look after our team, we’re all stronger together.

We're ready when you need us
