Black Country Mental Health is a charity that we here at JJX support very frequently. We do this by holding fundraisers and part-taking in events in honour and aid of their cause, and in hopes to raise money. Not only do we support them, but they support us, and our team of hardworking individuals. We understand that everyone has things going on in their life that they don’t like to talk about, and BCMH has provided a safe space where they feel comfortable enough to be able to lift that weight off of their shoulders.
JJX Logistics is proud to have proposed Black Country Mental Health for the prestigious King’s Award for Voluntary Service. This incredible organization has tirelessly supported individuals and families across JJX Logistics, and the region, providing vital mental health assistance, education, and compassionate care. They have made profound impacts on not only our staff, but their families, their neighbours and a large population of people within the Black Country.
To run as a charity, the organisation relies heavily on their group of volunteers, who are unpaid and choose to help out from their own good will. These volunteers are fully committed and go out of their way to ensure that everyone gets the help they need and deserve, whether it be day or night.
The volunteers at Black Country Mental Health play an essential role in providing compassionate support to individuals and families facing mental health challenges. They offer a listening ear through helplines, lead group therapy sessions, and organize community outreach programs to educate and raise awareness about mental health. Their projects hold a structure, where lead volunteers manage the project and support groups, as well as the other volunteers who offer their time.
Their dedication provides a safe space for those in vulnerable positions, inciting hope and empowerment in them. The effort they present on a daily basis is going towards breaking the stigma around mental health and its implications, for future generations, making a lasting difference in many lives, and many lives to come.
