JJX Pedal the Pennines Cycling Challenge for Breast Cancer Now

03 March 2020 by Dayna Rudge

POSTPONED - DUE TO CORONAVIRUS - WE WILL UPDATE YOU WHEN WE HAVE MORE INFORMATION

We are taking part in the Pedal the Pennines challenge to support the Legacy4Lucy team raise funds for Breast Cancer Now in memory of Lucy.

Jason, from Staff Today, and his team will also be joining us. Jason is the guy behind Legacy4Lucy.

Why We Do It!

Lucy was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of Breast Cancer in 2013 aged just 31 - Triple Negative, a form of the illness which is particularly difficult to treat and more common in younger women.

Despite receiving fantastic treatment, Lucy died in 2015 aged just 33 ... but will not die in vain. To date, with YOUR help Legacy4Lucy has raised over £220,000 for Breast Cancer Now, a charity which in the words of the top UK Oncologist is; "pioneering as it seeks to research a cure for the illness in which 55,000 women are diagnosed each year killing 11,000".

Here at JJX we regularly support Jason in raising as much as we can in memory of Lucy. Please help us in our challenge to help the Legacy4Lucy team reach a QUARTER OF A MILLION!

On 25th & 26th March, we’re going head-to-head with other local companies and cycling 350km as part of Pedal the Pennines to raise money for everyone living with breast cancer.

Help us cycle to victory by signing up for a 15-minute cycling slot.
