Black Country Business Festival – Creating a mentally healthy workplace

02 March 2020 by Dayna Rudge

POSTPONED!

Due to the Coronavirus, this event has been postponed, along with the rest of the festival. Updates coming soon with the new date.

As part of the Black Country Business Festival, we are holding an event in partnership with Dudley Mind, creating a mentally healthy workplace.

Our relaxed lunchtime event will provide local employers with the understanding and actions they need to proactively create a mentally healthy workplace using the Time to Change Employer Pledge which has positive and measurable business benefits.

Mental health problems affect every employer, regardless of size or sector. This event will provide delegates with an understanding of the Time to Change Employer Pledge and how they can create and use the action plan as a framework to create a mentally healthy workplace.

Mental health problems are the leading cause of sickness absence in the UK and affect every organisation regardless of size or sector, costing UK businesses almost £35 billion per year.

Attendees will gain a clear understanding of mental health in the workplace and the Time to Change employer pledge. This means they can create an action plan to promote and enable better mental health within their own organisation.

There will also be talks from Dudley Mind (our local Mind charity) discussing how they can help and how you could become more aware of mental health illnesses and respond accordingly.
