An envoy of nine rail companies from the UK, led by MP Rushanara Ali (the Prime Minister’s trade envoy for Bangladesh) to showcase the country’s expertise and experience in the rail sector, while underscoring the importance that the UK places on its investment and trade partnership with Bangladesh.

Ms Ali has also announced that even more export finance support will be available for UK trade with Bangladesh, climbing from £150 million to £625 million. Given the strong friendship and close ties between the UK and Bangladesh, I am confident that Rushanara Ali’s visit will open up new avenues for trade,” Alison Blake, British High Commissioner to Bangladesh, commented.
